Take Time

"Tis true we have so little time
To pause along life's road,
But when a fellow needs a friend
To lift his heavy load,

And when he needs to hear a word
of courage now and then...
That's just the time you need to pause
And be a loving friend.

We cannot hasten though this life
Oblivious of care.
'Tis needful that we scatter joy
To mankind everywhere.

And, if we cast our bread upon
The waters now and then...
We'll find that when we need it,
It will come home again!
